Hi everyone. I apologise for not posting much but this year has been tough and losing both my beautiful boys has hurt so much. Finlay has brought us so much joy. He is a real live wire and makes us laugh so much on a daily basis. I took these photo today to share him with you all. My little Welsh dragon with needle teeth, dangerous farts ๐คข and a real cuddle monster xxx
My boy: Hi everyone. I apologise for not posting... - LUPUS UK
My boy
heโs gorgeous.I hope your health is ok xx
Lovely! So sorry to hear about you losing both your furbabies this year. I too lost mine about 6 months ago. They take up so much room in our heart! I have a new furbaby now, and it might sound silly to say, but I really do need himโฆI have a permanent, animal-shaped void in my heart that nothing else can fillโฆglad you are getting so much joy from your boy. โบ๏ธ๐ป
I am so sorry for your loss. I understand perfectly the need for a bundle of fur. For me it really is a must for my maternal instincts that I never was able to utilise. Our boys were our reason to get out of bed and when we lost Dylan in September we were not only heartbroken but lost. Finlay has so many traits that Brodie had it is uncanny but warms our hearts xx
I love that Finlay is carrying on some parts of Brodie and keeping him present in your home. I was not able to have children either, and furbabies definitely help with that!
Morning CecilyParsley What a gorgeous boy. I'm so sorry that you lost both of your babies. It's hard when you lose an animal yet alone 2.
I'm sure Finlay brings you lots of happiness.
I hope you are as well as you can be.
Lots of love and hugs to you and Finlay.xxxx
You do realise you have a Spaniel there don't you? The farts will get worse, so will the cuddles and then there's that beautiful face and rabbit soft ears and the loyalty and.......he's a beautiful boy..
Yes I have teeth marks everywhere, hokes in my clothes as he โ helpsโ me get dressed, holes in the garden, plants chewed and his boundless energy and zoomies are hilarious but the farts ๐คข. My friend came to visit this week and she was actually gagging. I have had cockers all my adult life but my goodness Finlay is sooooo stinky for a little boy. That said he is just adorable and we love him dearly already xx
That's good as long as you're fully prepared. I've had Springers all my life and I always remember with my last one asking her to calm down. My late Dad used to say "calm is not in the How to be a Spaniel" handbook. In fact she (Milly) was only calm when she breathed her last. So enjoy your fruit loop of a stinky spaniel. Their love of life and loyalty to their Spaniel parents is just wonderful. Disclaimer: all other breeds are lovely, I know I had a Lhaso at the same time as the Springer. Enjoy a long, happy and stinky life with your boy.
Nice to hear from you and see finley, he's so cute in his little jumper. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas x
so glad you posted a photo of Finlay. Iโve seen him mentioned a few times in commments and wondered what he was like ๐ heโs absolutely gorgeous and glad heโs brought happiness back to you after a horrible year.
Many sympathies for your losses but many congratulations on your beautiful new arrival. He is glorious. Take care and enjoy x
I am so sorry that you lost both your precious fur babies. I have never owned a dog but keep hamsters and, living only an average of 18-24 months, have lost a lot of little furbabies. ๐ข๐ข๐ข
Finlay is adorable. At least with his stinky farts you have someone to blame any sprout parps on this Christmas! Hope you have a lovely Christmas and that your rheumatology appointment goes well next month. Xx ๐จ๐คข๐๐๐ ๐ผ
I love hamsters, such charming little animals. Until we rescued a rabbit, I never realised how intelligent they could be and such character. I broke my heart when she passed. It must be so hard for you to love and lose them so quickly? Finlay is a devil dog, donโt let that innocent face fool you lol He bit Neil on the nipple this week, I was crying with laughter as Neil howled in pain and hid under the duvet with Finlay on top of him trying to dig him out ๐ฑ๐๐๐, I wish you and your lovely hamsters a very Merry Christmas. Photos please ๐๐ป๐๐น xxx
This is Flora, aka Fiesty Flora! Donโt have so many photos of her as she is active and fast! She is now 20 months old but still extremely lively. ๐น
Just had to let you see Hairy Harry! He was a long haired Syrian hamster. He passed in 2017 aged nearly 3 so was a good age for a wee furry. Only ever had two long haired hamsters as they are not too common. ๐น
OMG Hairy Harry was a handsome boy ๐xxx
He really was, and the most couthy hamster I have ever had. Furry Freddie is the only other long haired I have had. Just as handsome but not quite as couthy! ๐น
This is Millie. She is such a docile, placid hamster. Also very vocal! Squeaks a lot when there is food about! She is 14 months old and is the lazier of the two! ๐น
itโs so lovely to see photos of Finlay. Iโve been imagining what he looks like but seeing him for real is fabโฆ He looks so smart in his dinosaur jumper too๐
I wish you many happy years of the unconditional love that owning a pet bringsโค๏ธ
Oh Cecily I'm so sorry about your boys. Sending love and hugs xxx
Finlay is so adorable , Iโm sure he has been a real comfort to you both after losing your 2 furry boys this year xxx
what a lovely young man ๐๐๐๐.
Heโs just gorgeous, if mischievous, and Iโm sure heโs bringing lots of love into your life. He canโt replace your 2 boys, of course, but heโs a wonderful addition, Iโm sure.
Take care, xxx
I hope you get the answers you need.
Rheumatology in my area seems to be very stretched.
I used to have 3 monthly joint appointments along with interstitial lung disease consultant.this has gone to phone appointments with lung consultant.
I got a phone call yesterday, saying that the lead consultant has been transferred to the emergency lung wards,so I will be talking to someone else.
I expressed my disappointment,as I felt U had to.
Iโm making my list and have to count my blessings.
I have had phone calls returned.
Am on immunosuppressants,
I have been on Nintendanib for my lung disease.
Iโm still unwell, but they canโt do any more than they do.
Enjoy your furry friend,we canโt have a dog because of the walking.
I use ambulatory oxygen ,also use a Walker so I wouldnโt be able to cope with a puppy.
My15 year old cat is aging so I dread him going.
Apologies for the essay,Iโm going to write my list of questions tonight.
Im hoping you get answers x
I wish you the very best with your appointment. I truly hope you get the need. I am just hoping that this time they listen and take me seriously, that will make my New Year . Let me know how you get on xx
xxx
please let me know how you get on as well xx
I will do. I am so apprehensive based on recent years of changed diagnosis and insults such as โ hysteriaโ but I am so grateful to be seen after so long xx
My goodness how heโs grown Cecily!๐ณ He has been the best tonic for you and Neil since all the stress and sadness of this last year. Iโm so pleased you have him and I know heโs a very lucky boy to have you. ๐ฅฐ I hope you all bring each other much joy and loads of love for many years to come. Wishing you all the very happiest of Christmasses and a wonderful New Year. Love and hugs xxx
He has grown in length bless him. I had to have a coat custom made because he is so long but tiny. You are right he is the very best tonic we could ever hoped to have had, such a gorgeous boy. I wish the same for you too. Have a happy peaceful Christmas and I truly hope the New Year is so much happier for you xxx
Just adorable in that alligator suit! I got a chihuahua this past year. Have had to learn a whole new group of health issues. Lino has just recovered from surgery and is back to his mischievous self.
I am so happy you have a new love after those heartbreaks. And a rheumatologist appointment too!
Merry Christmas to you!
๐๐ Kay
Cecily - will get an under fifty nice person to post for me. So sweet you want to see Lino. He is my first dog and I treat him like a child. The surgery was removal of one anal gland. It got so scarred after an abscess that it wasnโt functioning. He is doing great now!
He had to come to two doctorโs appointments and a hygienist appointment because he couldnโt be left alone with collar. The funny part is none even missed a bit about it. The colorectal surgeon remarked on how he must have one tiny anus.๐. Lino is four pounds and vet said it actually was the smallest gland he had taken out.
Message me if you want some detailed examples of how I have gotten help from doctors and overcome resistances. It only took thirty years.
Hope that beautiful puppy brings much joy in the new year!

Those anal glands cause so much discomfort. Poor Dylan had to have his done regularly bless him. When he had his CT scan they said one of his glands had a nodule and needed to be removed. After being cut from his chest to his penis to remove the tumour we refused to have that done too. As it was he bounced through the surgery but the chemo caused severe pancreatitis and as he had T cell lymphoma they advised without the chemo he would pass in weeks not months. We just could not bare to see him suffer any longer so we did the best thing we could but it was so painful for us. Dylan loved us so much he fought the final injection and was gasping and jerking. I donโt think we have ever been so traumatised. Just heartbreaking. I was actually screaming. Dogs are family. How lovely that Lino was able to attend your appointments with you bless him. He will feel so much better for getting rid of it xx
adorable ๐We all know our fur babies can't be replaced but we need to direct our love to another, I know my boys time is now limited but my life will always have space for a dog and I know you will give all your love to Finlay the same as your boys and in return much love and joy from Finlay. You have a big heart and I hope there are many more memories to make with Finlay to put with those of Ryan and Brodie, I totally like you love animals and will always need that animal shaped void filled with a best friend.
love and best wishes Cecily and so good to hear you have an upcoming face to face and wish you all the best with that , and hope you're finally seen and heard๐๐ค
thinking of you xx
