Yes I'm ok thank you spotty 🤗I have been fairly busy what with blood test n covid n flu jabs. It seems I only go out now to get the sharp end of a needle!! 😹It's been really tough though negotiating all of these appts without transport. I'm really photosensitive so summer was early appts before UV levels got too high. Then the clocks changed n I realised I'd be going out an hour later in UV terms meaning that the UV was stronger!! Hubby n I have been out in all the elements this year. I've been finding it really hard n I have to rest before and after so haven't had the spoons for corresponding or replying to posts..rest assured though I'm always around!! Checking in with me lupie mates!! 😉 I loved your painting by the way..such vibrant colours 🙌 I could make some space in my wall for it if you haven't got any room to hang it? 😉😹

So good to hear your news Kat although I’m sorry you are having such a problem getting to and from appts and having to factor in your UV sensitivity must be very difficult. Does your area have a charity for medical appts transportation? We discovered there was one in our area which even took hubby to Glasgow for his ablations last year and again last month. They have volunteer drivers so only charge for the journey to cover fuel etc. Might be worth enquiring if there is one in your area? I noticed you have been checking in and thank you for your ‘likes’ , but I was worried when there were few actual remarks that you were either poorly or totally devoid of spoons. So I’m relieved to hear from you. I’m so pleased you loved my painting. 😁 I’m going to try another vibrant one just as soon as we get home. We are having a week in Keswick to make sure hubby behaves himself and gives his heart a chance to heal after his last ablation. We are going short walks and are very much enjoying wandering around the bustling town and returning to our lovely warm apartment where we snooze or read to music we’ve brought with us. 🥱😴

Thanks Spotty 🤗 tbh I'm not keen on getting in strange cars..especially with this new variant now too. We were getting a taxi back but even when delta was rife we stopped doing that. However we did find an alternative route home which takes us along the river to a big lake..so I've been feeding the ducks n swans at a particular spot which gives me so much joy!! I've got ducks feeding off my hands now!! I don't give them bread though..oh no..these ducks get sweetcorn n peas!! They love them!! 🦆🦆🦆Having a lovely break away sounds good..I'm glad you're enjoying yourselves without over taxing yourselves!!
It has been a tricky time for us all and I will admit I think my mental health has taken a battering!! I haven't seen my grandsons for ages now n my eldest daughter is refusing to have the jab.. so we're at loggerheads (once again) 😹 Sometimes I just lose confidence n think that everything I say is bonkers so I tend to withdraw into myself..if that makes sense?

I can understand your reluctance to get in strange cars but our local charity has fitted all their vehicles with a Perspex divide between driver and passenger. BUT you don’t get to see ducks and swans sat in the back of a car and definitely don’t get them eating out of your hand. 😉 Keswick has a shed down by Derwentwater where you can buy bags of grain to feed the ducks and geese. We were watching 2 young men (identical twins) yesterday feeding the ducks and of course they are very tame . I just love their quacking that sounds like Donald Duck laughing - never fails to make me giggle. 😆Sorry to hear your mental health has taken a hammering but I can understand it when you can’t see your grandsons like you used to and they grow up all too quickly. ☹️ Not having grandchildren has made it so much easier for us - we can’t miss what we never had.😊 Sorry to hear you’re at loggerheads with your elder daughter over the jab. That is so frustrating and upsetting for you, but it isn’t your fault if she can’t see sense. I suppose you’ll just have to accept each other’s decision on the matter. Have you given your bodhran an airing recently? Good to vent your frustrations that way, or to enjoy a blether with the ducks who’ll always be pleased to see you.😁
