Hi Jaci, welcome to Lupus forum. I have used both food and all sorts of alternative therapies to support my condition on top of hospital medication. As you are an acupuncturist, you must know so much about maintaining good system using all the right meridian points. I have learned over the years trying to apply acupressure therapy on my own as going to an acupuncturist twice a week became too much for me for various reasons. So I do this daily now especially paying attention to my spleen, liver and kidney. For years I have had organic food mainly and more than ever everything is now available. This year I have gone gluten free, dairy free since April and at one point I decided to go completely vegan since summer. It has been going well and I really enjoy my meals. Not eating out has helped too. Every once in a while I miss having eggs and cheese or nice bread but only briefly as I have discovered many other ways of cooking. I try not to eat carbs for dinner as I have trouble sleeping. Also I take various supplements. All animal food creates inflammation apparently. So I felt I could do without that. Also I have always felt bad about eating meat that was once a living, breathing being. And now we are learning how animal farming is such a main issue for global warming. So I feel very convinced that I am achieving three important things with my diet. I cannot tell you if I am feeling so much better physically or not. But I feel better emotionally and that is half the game. 😊 Please do share with us what you do to support your health. All the best
Welcome Jaci121. Really looking forward to any great tips you can share with us as I think every little helps . I was joking about the animal pics 😆.. it’s a lovely friendly forum xx
