3rd Primary dose

Dogportraitartist profile image

I'm on day 3 of side effects from 3rd primary dose and go today diagnosed pleurisy as a result of the vaccination. I'm still getting high fevers followed by sweats. Fevers are incredibly unbearable as I swear every bit of my body hurts and the movement of shivering is giving my pains pain!

I appreciate I sound like I'm being really dramatic but I feel so so ill. I had flu like symptoms for 36 hrs after 1st Astra dose, fine after 2nd Astra dose but this 3rd dose which is pfizer has absolutely done me done!

Anyone else similar?

Xxxx

So sorry you are feeling so poorly, I have had pleurisy and it's not very nice at all.I had the Pfizer two weeks ago, prior to that two AstraZeneca and that night I felt terrible. Like you fevers and shivers and generally feeling so bad, thankfully it lasted two days after that I was slightly better.

My brother has had a terrible experience with the Pfizer after also having two AstraZeneca jabs. He had both his flu jab and Pfizer at the same time. Could this be the problem, who knows?.

It seems everyone has a different experience with our vaccinations.

I do hope you soon feel better, take care jx

So sorry to hear brother's also had a bad reaction. Its so frustrating that in an attempt to keep ourselves from getting ill we end up getting ill! Xx

Not yet, 3rd vaccination due next week and if will be pfizer following two AZ so I’m trepidatous.

I thought I was having the booster until I got there. I hadn't read my letter properly 🙄For ppl who are immunocompromised they decided a 3rd full dose was needed before receiving the booster. The 3rd dose is supposed to get us to a point that is the same as the general population after 2 xx

Yeah I should of had 3rd vaccine but I got my booster through NHS (where I work) and then found out after - our work didn’t even know about a 3rd vaccine when they started giving them to staff 🤦🏻‍♀️

So sorry that you are desperately ill from the third vaccine. I was plagued by all sorts of side effects from first and second Pfizers. The second one made me ill for nearly three months. I was flat out. My spring wiped out. It was worse than my own condition and I joked that it was like having Covid. After much consideration, this time my Lupus doctor agreed that I should not get the third. I am mostly shielding and I do still have a bit of antibodies left in me. I just cannot bear being so ill by the side effects again...for the third time in one year. My understanding is that we have to go for the booster, fourth one in the new year. I may consider it then. Hope you get better soon.

I really don't blame you! I had just got out of a flare that lasted all summer so I really hope this hasn't set me back too much. I was just starting to get a little joy back in my life. I've decided I won't be getting the booster, I can't go through this again willingly, especially when no one can say how long the protection lasts for ppl like us xx

Thank you for sharing this. I had AZ x 2, ok after first, then quite poorly after the 2nd, dizzy, shaky, palpitations etc which are ongoing. From my experience no one is interested in investigating or supporting my health, a medical shrug of the shoulders as it were. So not keen on a booster and super not keen on a pfizer, as I have really bad sensitivities to medications. I've postponed my flu jab, I'm having a massive flare up of arthritis, knees like balloons

🙄

I really am not sure what to do going forward, I feel like its one step forward and two back with my health as it is.

So sorry to hear that you have been so ill from the vaccine i think that its important that you keep a log of your dates and how long you feel unwell for and your symptoms, too many people who are deemed in the vulnerable category are getting sick but still we are encouraged to get this vaccine there is a need for ongoing research and this can be at least started by sites like this.I personally checked my antibody status first and have antibodies from the Covid 19 so have opted to not have the vaccine i know this is controversial but i have made the informed decision that i cant save anyone from this awful virus because even being vaccinated you can get it and pass it on I truly don’t get the medical logic. But i do know my body and its reactions to certain medication and foods so I’m holding out for more research.

All the symptoms of covid are those of vasculitis or lupus we need to be mindful of this
