physical pain
Hope you’ve found some relief with your pain. There’s quite a few things that can cause the pain. Something simple like lying awkwardly in bed to stress and tensing the muscles. Even physio can cause pain for a while after ‘manipulation’ as they help loosen muscle tension. Have you tried putting a cream on that’s specially for joint pain or even just a heat pad might help. Hope it eases soon 💐
I have furry hot water called Mustang (Picture). I have tried all that but I do not want to go on anything stronger. I am in main with most of my joints. I have been doing physio for six months. and the pain is driving me nuts
I know, neck pain is awful. I’ve had it pretty much all my life and I’m getting on a bit now. My suggestions would be: keep doing the exercises even though they seem to add to the pain but it’s best to keep the neck moving otherwise it seizes up altogether. A neurologist prescribed gabapentin for the pain and I found that to be really helpful and thirdly, a website Neuroplastix.com gave me a new way of looking at pain which has been the real life saver for me and helped me to calm down the spiralling of pain to unmanageable levels. I do hope you get some relief soon - things can get better 😌
I am so sorry you are in such pain. I too have found that my pain is less life altering after receiving ACT therapy via a psychological. I believe it is a similar brain training or reprocessing technique as the website cotter mentions. I hope you are able to find some relief as well.
Mustang is beautiful and I hope gives you some comfort as my Pumpkin and Gigi do. The neck is a pain in the neck. I personally many years ago did not do well with physical therapy, but that does not mean it doesn't help some. In my case, it aggravated all the damage in the degenerated discs. I was told also to never let anyone tough my actual neck. My GP at the time would work on my shoulders and back to lessen neck pain. Then my osteoporosis worsened and that was no longer an option. Then I broke the main bone in my neck and have less mobility but did not have any therapy . Now it is weird, I do get neck pain , but it is like I am used to it until it gets really bad. I don't have any real answers, but hope you get some help.
Healing hugs.
