I have been gaining a lot of weight even before my Lupus diagnosis and it's getting worst. I went from a size 34 to a size 40 in under two years. My question is, what can I use to try and loose some weight. I am not a heavy eater and do not eat sweets things at all. Do you think my Rheumatologist will prescribe relislim. Anyone here used this before?

I was struggling to lose weight before my lupus sle diagnosis, then put on two stone after a flair in symptoms and many months of trying to get a combination of meds right. I started the fast 800 (dr Michael Mosley) in January, which is mainly Mediterranean based (the Mediterranean diet recommended for lupus). I’ve lost 20 pounds in 12 weeks, but it’s more about completely changing my relationship with food - I was trying to comfort eat and drink my way to feeling better but all it did was make me feel a hell of a lot worse. Losing weight has helped ease pain in my knees, and that is still my main incentive as moving around became very difficult. I hope you find something that works, my journey hadn’t been easy but it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for myself x
