Thank you everyone for the support and suggestions, I feel humbled, grateful and loved. My next question is, can lupus cause blood levels to be low? Can that be the extreme tiredness my doc just placed me on iron and folic acid tabs.😇😘
Depleted blood level: Thank you everyone for the... - LUPUS UK
Depleted blood level
Totally! Fatigue is one of the first things to affect people apparently, and definitely shows up in bloods... Lupus UK website has tons of info on all of this... do have a good read to help yourself understand it all, lessens the stress of it I find. lupusuk.org.uk/publications/ There's one on Fatigue, another on Blood Disorders, Symptoms and Diagnosis, Medications. It's a fab website.. but if you search on this site using the search box you'll find tons of previous posts on the subject you're after.
There is also a publication on the site about Diet and Lupus... it's so very important to keep optimally fed and watered... gotta give ourselves highly nutritious fuel and keep hydrated...kick out any junk food, or sugary things (although I'm sure you know all that ;)... no good for our bodies... although I know some find it addictive ;).
If you've already been advised all this, just ignore me!
I hope you start to feel better soon. Take care, D
Hello I have been struggling with my RBC ,WBC and platelets for over a year. They are all low and now I am getting injections to boost the WBC, and the RBC. I have been diagnosed with lupus, Sjogren's, vasculitis, my rheumatologist and hematologist have narrowed it down to my autoimmune condition. The hematologist has done several rounds of blood work as well as a bone marrow biopsy. Thank God the bone marrow biopsy came back negative for any kind of cancer. So now it's a wait-and-see game I get those injections and my blood drawn twice a month, the injections have seemed to helped with my symptoms of fatigue and weakness good luck and best wishes.
