Ok so I don’t have little cute cats or dogs but I do have a tortoise called Topsy who is approximately 50 and has been in our family for 45 of those years, she weighs nearly 3 stone and is due to wake from her hibernation in two weeks!

Tortoises are dead cute too I’d love one, our neighbour had a huge one, forget the breed but it doesn’t hibernate . Tipsy sounds lovely please post a pic when she’s awake 👍😍x

How wonderful- my sister has 3 tortoises 🐢 but no where near as old as yours - am looking forward to a picture of Topsy when she wakes up - I have a very funny story that happened a couple of years ago my sister was doing aload of gardening, she tided it all away in bags then took to recycling centre - she realised bit later on in the day that they were missing a tortoise 🐢- sister though OMG I thing it’s at the recycling centre, she hurried back and told one of the guys that worked there and bless them 4 staff got into the garden waste bin and hunted through and guess what they found the missing tortoise 🐢 unharmed 😂

Ha ha but I think I can match that......Back in the mid 70’s we had three tortoises and as they could still be imported then many more people had them than today. One day my brothers and I found a three legged tortoise that had strayed into our garden. Keen to see it back with the real owner we put a sign in the local shop window describing our find ( that was the only way back then) and that very evening I’m pleased to say the owner turned up very pleased indeed to be reunited with his three legged tortoise. My brothers and I rushed to present him with his beloved pet, hoping for a reward. We were bitterly disappointed when he exclaimed that his three legged tortoise limped on a different side to this one! Can you believe it , it was a completely different three legged tortoise! Just how many three legged tortoises can live in a small village! Any way I’m pleased to say the next day the true owner arrived and ‘Three’ as we named the stray returned safely home and limped happily ever after 😆😁

Morning x oh how lovely 😊I had a tortoise for 34 years called Fred... when my daughter was little she was so frightened of him! But guess what she has two of her own now and adores them! I expect they will all be stirring soon... I used to love that time of the year. Picture would be amazing xx
