COVID-19 Vaccine

Hi all fellow lupus & coeliac companions,

Just thought I would share my experience of coronavirus vaccination I received yesterday. I live in South Wales, and I must say I was impressed with the setup they had in this particular leisure centre.

The security and safety measures were second to none. Well done 👏 to all their staff

The only mildly excitement they had apparently was provided by yours truly. When the nurse injected me I saw his eyes widen a little. Confused, I asked him what was wrong and at the same time looked down. There was blood gushing out of my arm and onto his hands. That’s when I noticed he wasn’t wearing any gloves despite there being a box of them on his table. I asked him why he wasn’t wearing any. He said “ they “ didn’t recommend it

Anyway, relevant people were called and I was told that since they had started giving this vaccination, they had not had a single case where injection site bled.

Any others this happened to? Just curious 🧐

I would complete a Yellow Card. The Yellow Card scheme is the UK system for collecting and monitoring information on medical devise adverse events and adverse drug reactions.

It relies on voluntary reporting by the public as well as health professionals.

It takes 5 mins to complete a report.
