My daughter is due to get the Men ACWY vaccine tomorrow in readiness for starting University in March. She is on MMF & Hydroxochloroquin. Her last vaccine - HPV - triggered her first serious flare. Does anyone have any experience of this vaccine please?

Hi.
I'm on the same meds and more.
Had the Oxford vaccine on Saturday. Really happy to report no side effects at all apart from a sore arm for a few hrs.
Hope this helps x
There are now loads of accounts of people's experience with vaccines across the Lupus forum Jennifer. Why not have a look around. I take those drugs and have just had the Pfizer vaccine. No serious side effect so far (but it is literally a matter of hours so maybe too soon to tell).
I had the vaccine and still got the same HPV I was suppose to be protected against. Doctor said HPV infection is common with lupus regardless of vaccine
From what my Gynaecologist told me, HPV can lay dormant and appear, that’s why it’s important to get a PAP test . I would ask your GP for more information if you are concerned.
