Please - would anyone recommend these for pain relief, upper back specifically? and if so, is there a particular make/model/type that is best? thank you so much!

Tens machine
I used to use one when I was working. I worked on a computer and got dreadful back pain. It was given to me by the specialist at the hospital pain clinic. It’s a long time ago now so I can’t remember what make it was, but it had two electrodes so I was able to position it where needed most. I could increase the intensity and alter the pattern of it when I needed to. I don’t think it actually removes the pain, but the different sensations made it much more bearable for me at work.
I cannot speak to model as I bought mine in America, but I have found it helpful - I've a severely damaged neck which continues to disintegrate, and results include transferred pain in my limbs as well as back and shoulders. It's by no means a cure-all, but sometimes it can offer a great deal of relief. The model I have has ten different programmes, each at 5 different intensities, so it might take some time to work out what's best where, but it's been worth the time for me. The replacement pads are easily found on Amazon.
I used a few different ones and none worked on me. I think it depends on what's the source of the pain...
