Hi all, I haven’t been on here for a while since I’ve been back to work. As I work in healthcare sector, I’ve been redeployed to another ward(previous ward has been categorised as high risk for me). They redeployed me on a stroke unit. I’m really struggling on that ward as it very physical for me. I’ve tried to explained to both my managers. They told me they awaiting for more established plan for me then they will see about transferring me. But I’m really struggling. And now I’m in a middle of a flare ups. I haven’t seen my rheumatologist as I was expected in July. I’ve tried to call but no answer. I’m thinking about doing a self referral to occupational health to ask them to transfer me on another ward bcos none of my ward manger is taking my issues seriously. I’m feeling so down and depressed. Thank you for reading. Sorry for the venting.x

Struggling in new workplace
I think it is a good idea to contact occupational health.
Yes I’d speak to occupational heSlth it’s hard enough if you’re flaring without letting it get you down and depressed. Vent away, we all do at some point 🙏
Occupational health and your GP, ok to vent 😎
So sorry to hear that Sezvic. I'm on the same pagr with you. After July shielding. I resumed to work. (Nursing Home). First shift was quiet cool but second shift was disaster which landed to Hospital. I was having heavy nosebleed non stop.
Since then I have stop working. I will advice you call your GP and explain they might give you Rheumatology emergency number. You don't have to work under pressure. Please ask fast.
Sending you loads of hugs and kisses💖💖💖💖

Hi tjo52, I work with the NHS also. Before redeployed I work on respiratory unit which was ok for my autoimmune diseases. But I can’t understand why they will redeployed me on a stroke unit which very physical, constant hoisting. And most of the patient needs physical help. Since I’ve started on that ward, I’ve been having joints pain almost everyday. I’ve notified my ward manager on respiratory unit that I self referred myself to occupational health. No reply from, not sure if she’s unhappy about it 🤷🏻♀️. I need to look after myself. Take care of yourself tjo52. Let me know how yours go with HR. Will keep you updated with mine.x
Oh bless you, reading your post has made me so angry for you. Your managers have a duty of care to you and are failing miserably. I think you should absolutely self refer to OH, they should have done it for you. I am so very sorry that you are struggling when you should be enabled. Sending big virtual Cwtches xx
