I have Lupus / APS / Sjrojens since 2006. Throughout this time I keep having random allergy attacks. I had allergy testing in 2012 and it all came back as normal. Even though I'm not allergic to anything I take anti-histamine every day but I still get the allergy. Rheumatologist says its nothing to do with Lupus. Question is - so why am I getting allergies - when I'm not allergic to anything? To me it must be something to do with Lupus? Does anyone else suffer with these? Honestly when I get the allergy its severe, Im talking sneezing 3 times in a row all day long, resulting in chest aches, headaches, from the action of the multiple sneezing, and non stop runny nose. If anyone has any advice that will be interesting to hear.

You could have a non-allergic rhinitis. I have the sneeze attacks, mainly precipitated by hot drinks, the cold or alcohol. ENT prescribed atrovent nasal spray, which is very effective.
Hope that is helpful.

That's really interesting. I have loads of quite major allergies but have been tested and allergic to slot of things.sinly plants trees and tree fruits. I am sure it's to do with the immune system running too fast and then you get an over reaction which is what an allergic reaction is. I have symptoms of about 4 connective tissue diseases but no clear one with tests. I am sure they just haven't found what your reacting to. I can be really random things. They can't possibly test for everything. Is there any clues to your reactions? Time of year? Time of day? Place?
Perhaps you have chronic rhinitis or sinusitis? I use Mometasone (steroid) nasal spray every day - it's only available on prescription. It does help, but you have to use it EVERY day. Good luck.
