Hi everyone,
National Voices (an umbrella organisation for 150 health charities) has created a new project, 'Our COVID Voices', a website that makes it easy for individuals to share their stories.
They are inviting people with long-term medical conditions, disabilities or other health and cares needs to share their stories about how day-to-day life has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
National Voices will use these stories to highlight to MPs, the NHS and other decision-makers how the UK’s response to COVID-19 is affecting thousands of people who live with long-term health conditions. Sharing your stories will help National Voices make a better case to the government and health service for changes that need to be made to help people get through this difficult time.
Your contribution
You can share anything you would like about your life – it doesn’t have to be exciting, dramatic, or inspiring – it just has to be a genuine reflection of your life at the moment. You can talk about what’s made your life easier or harder, what you’re doing to entertain yourself, how lockdown has affected your health, in fact, anything you’re happy to share, National Voices is interested in it. All contributions, which should be no longer than 700 words (that’s about two sides of writing paper) and will be anonymous.
If you’re interested in taking part, National Voices has some practical information on how to write your story at ourcovidvoices.co.uk/writin...
