Ha, ha. I’ve had a few cats that were as loving and friendly as dogs. One waited for me by the back door at the time I got home from school everyday and cuddled up next to me while I did my homework. But I have had cats that were extreme terrors!!

But I also have had wonderful dogs and yet a Jack Russel who was the most stubborn thing on the planet! Once when trying to remove a harmful item from our JR (Duncan) I threw a set of keys so he’d go after them and I could quickly remove the harmful object ( a Christmas light bulb that I was afraid he’d bite into and cut his mouth). He started for the keys but realized what I was doing and came back at me. Tore my knuckle off. It had to be sewn back on in the ER and the ER doctor said that apparently Duncan had swallowed a piece of it. Sooo, just like races of people, there are good and bad in each. It’s not the race, it’s the person. It’s not the animal type, just their personality. But I know what you mean, cats generally are very independent whereas dogs are social. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Same with teenagers 😆

I'll take your word for it! I'll never have a cat in the house (except the neighbour's slinky black-and-white kittenish thing that has been found curled up on soft furnishings uninvited?!?..how does it get in and out?) xxx

Ps could have been worse with the JR....a neighbour's ate his thumb after it was accidentally chopped off with a chainsaw, EEK! x

My cats are dog like. They come to the door when people come over, they let us rub their bellies and they even walk on leashes .

Compromised cats...I like it very much! My hound slept 22 hours a day like a big cat...but boy, when she moved, it was like a cheetah! 0-30mph in less than ten seconds (meeeeeiiiaooowwwwwww) ...didn't have cats in the garden then xxx

I had two cats there were esp. awesome!

My son owns a Tegu lizard. Bowser was about an inch long when my son Dylan adopted him. He’s now about 4 1/2 feet long. Anyway, if you watch YouTube videos of Tegus, they are fierce. They get up erect on their short back legs and run amazingly fast to attack in defense. Yet Bowser is mellow as can be. Dylan lets him swim in their pool, gives him a daily bath in the tub... Bowser has general free reign of the house because he’s toilet trained (so to speak) and Dylan walks him on a leash when out and about (like you and your cat). But viewing videos you would never think of one being so domesticated. Bowser loves to travel around Dylan’s shoulders. Like a scarf. So you just never know.
