Hi guys I put a post here weeks ago and I’m still not further forward I saw my gp and they said my blood pressure was low and I can keep getting episodes of low blood sugar along with constant dizziness and palpatations my hands have changed colour, I think that is Raynauds, I’m most concerned now that my legs have started moving on there own it’s very upsetting I’m not sure if I’m having seizures coz I’ll get a rising feeling in my stomach and then really breathless and then my legs will start tensing up, my head will nod and my hands will flare but I’m totally conscious, I thought it might be chorea as it seemed my legs were dancing but now I think it might be partial seizures my gp has got me
To see my rheumatologist next week as she is concerned about my blood pressure but I’m worried the lupus is effecting my brain or nervous system

Hi Sammy! See a neurologist. As soon as you say rising feeling in my stomach and then all breaks loose. This is classic description for absence/temporal lobe seizures. Do you ever feel really really tired after these episodes - this is called postictal phase? Please please please see a neurologist. You are right to be worried.
I’m seeing my rheumatologist next Friday as my blood pressure keeps dropping and got a few other symptoms I don’t feel tired I just get really emotional and start crying it’s really strange! Thank you so much for replying makes you feel like your going mad!
Emotional and crying out of nowhere could be part of pseudobulbar affect (PBA). Makes you cry/laugh out of nowhere. This is also a nervous system problem. You are not going mad. I promise. It sounds like you may have a few nervous problems and someone needs to connect the dots. Even blood pressure and heart rate are controlled by the nervous system. It’s called dysautonomia or autonomic neuropathy.
Ask your rheumatologist for a neurology referral. They should also check your electrolytes like potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium given muscle problems/worry about seizure. Please don’t leave the appt without a referral.
I hope you find answers soon. Keep us posted about your appt next Friday. Until then, be well. ❤️
