I would like to know Lupus UK's advise (Pauls') on how many of our members including myself can protect ourselves that are immune suppressed on many medications and still working in Schools.
No one will give me an answer and are all passing the butt as to what I do to avoid getting Corona instead everyone is reading a script of what to do when you get it!
Come on health chiefs we need some advise on PREVENTION NOT CURE!
Do I stop injecting?
Do I think about not taking meds?
Do i not go to work?
Advise please?

Do I stop injecting?/Do I think about not taking meds?
Absolutely not! It is advised that you DO NOT stop taking your lupus medication in an attempt to reduce your risk of contracting the virus. It is important to remember that if your lupus becomes active then this may also increase your risk of picking up infection. If you did suspect you had symptoms of the virus you would need to seek advice regarding treatment from your consultant. It is possible that stopping lupus treatment could actually be detrimental.
Do I not go to work?
At present, the Government and NHS have not advised people to stay at home. The spread of the disease is still in the containment phase. If/when the disease spreads more, this guidance may change. In the meantime, follow the NHS guidance on washing hands and reducing the spread of infection.
