Need to express my feelings... again..

As some of you might remember I've been having these pains under and around my ribcage ...done an x-ray ( all clear) bloods to gallbladder ( all clear) still waiting for a scan to arrive ,( has been 2 weeks)

I've done these bloods to thyroid levels and liver function and called the GP to check the results and they said to go there Saturday...I asked for a call back from the GP but they said and quote: "as your appointment is in 3 days time and not considered a urgency the GP won't phone you"

I know it's not urgent for them but my anxiety levels are through the roof.. all I needed was peace of mind,

I'm actually really tired of feeling fearful all the time. I'm having a telephone conversation with steps to wellbeing on the 20th ,I hope they help...I really need someone to help me understand that I'm not in a life of death situation.

Thank you for letting me vent

Vent all you like Tavares, that’s what we are here for. It is a very anxious time when waiting for results but take comfort from the fact that if anything serious had shown up in your test results your GP surgery would have phoned you. So try not to worry about it and write down any questions you want to ask your GP on Saturday. Hugs and best wishes. 🤗😘 Spotty 💕

It’s a long time to wait when you’re in pain and very naturally feel stressed and anxious. Vent away!

I don’t know if this helps but I’ve had three unexpected phone calls from GPs about blood tests. They were concerned and not waiting for me to turn up at the surgery. I was instructed to go to A&E where all was fine on further blood tests. It’s possible there might be results your GP wants to discuss, but they don’t feel it’s urgent enough in GP o’clock which doesn’t often match patients o’clock.

Having said that, of course you are worried and need to know. Let us know how it goes x

Yes, please update us when you know anything. Until then Tavares, try some deep breathing exercises to help calm you. Maybe take a long walk in the evening air and sort out your thoughts? Find a friend who makes you laugh and try to get your mind off of it. Worrying won’t make the appt come any faster, but it will mess with your overall health. I know. I’m a HUGE worrier!
