Occupational Health

Hi,

This afternoon I had an occupational health assessment. The Dr said he wants me to go on to reduced hours (30 hours a week) for at least six months and for work to look at moving me back to a bigger desk (we went from lovely large curved desk with 2 people in a area to smaller rectangular ones with 3 people in the same space). Work have already given given me a better chair and a foot stool and i already had an eurconomical keyboard and mouse, but with these and 2 screens my desk space is so small I don't have the space I need. Healso wants to see what can be done re my stress. He says that me individual positions is covered by the disability discrimination act and therefore any time I have off sick must be treated favourable and therefore can't be used as grounds for dismissal. I've got to see him again in 3 months.

That sounds really positive! Glad you are getting the right help that you need. Would be great to have more space and I’m sure the reduced hours would help also.

I have been referred to occupational health but not heard anything back since. Glad you found it useful!
