Lupus and sciatica

I think I am in a flair as despite my steroid injection 3 weeks ago the pain I have felt the last few days and weakness has been unbearable at times. My legs feel like they don't belong to me, odd I know but only way can describe.

Last night i experienced pain in lower back on one side just above my buttock it was a sharp stabbing pain and it seemed hot. It grabbed me and made me so uncomfortable. Never experienced before and wondered if sciatica?

Today again feel week and joints hurt.

Really don't know what to do as its knocking me sick

I should see your GP to find out for sure/ My Sciatica runs from my groin down the leg. It can spread down to and including your ankle, heel and foot.

My sciatica runs from sciatic nerve in lower back, and up and down leg - we are all different. I was in worst flair ever and they immediately put me on 5mg of steroid and it eased off almost immediately- I am now down to 2mg and no return of pain. Could you go down that treatment path ? Good luck

Thanks lovely I think its a flair joint pain and weakness for a few days now and still continuing. I had injection about 4 weeks ago now, think im through the worst of the pain now just the residual x
