Dr Cruz tomorrow

Hi guys nervous as I have my appointment tomorrow with doctor Cruz for a second opinion from doc kaul.

Hoping this man will help but most of all be more interested in what I have to say.

This is my last privet appointment as I can’t afford it and all my mums inheritance has now gone and I’m just taking it away from my kids.

So if he can’t help me I fall back into the mercy of the nhs.

I’ve written it all down and I have all my notes and brain scans with me.

How is everyone ?

Please dont be nervous Buckley, dr de Cruz is lovely. I saw him many years ago. I must say though, I am a bit confused as to why you would go from dr Kaul to dr de Cruz for a second opinion. These two not only work together and have for many years, but take part in studies, research, clinical trials, etc together all as part of prof Hughes team. They are both excellent doctors, I have seen them both, but what I'm trying to say is that they are very similar in their views and diagnostic abilities. Hope it all goes well for you, good luck.

Oh really I thought dr Cruz was ‘better’ ? I didn’t really get much of a result from doc kaul I hope it won’t be the same today he suggested aps but my bloods where negative 👎 he also wouldn’t see me on the nhs which was no help to me atal. I don’t know why I have no luck or why they all seem disinterested in my brain lesions and problems. If they think it isn’t autoimmune they need to say as my neurologist thinks it is xxx

Hi Buckley123..I have seen both Drs I the past at Guys St Thomas..both Drs on the NHS and they were brilliant..my actual appointment was with other doctors but on 2 occasions they were brought into my examination for future advice..I have an indifferented autoimmune..Hughes.. and Psosaitic arthritis..they were very through and allowed me to ask lots of questions. Please be well prepared for your appt..i always have how I'm feeling now..history and any photos my phone.this was some years ago however I still attend clinic every six months..I hope your appointment goes well..please try not to worry you are in very safe hands..I did have long waits at the clinics however you might not with it being a private appt..take care..😄🦋❤

I’ve not been reading posts regularly, but why are you going privately if you don’t mind me asking?

It’s a good question really I had a hard time doctors taking me seriously because 2 months before my mum died and after I paid for a mri and found the brain lesions I was diagnosed with ms just the same as my mum. Considering she was 47 when she died I went privet as I wanted to limit damage.

Ms was ruled out and left in limbo all my bloods are negative xx

Hi thanks for your reply yes he’s sending me over to the nhs and is listening to me which I’ve never had. He thinks it’s possible to have uctd xx

That's great news. All we want is someone to take us seriously. I remember him saying to me, no that's not stupid what else has happened, I need the full picture.
