SLE from 2013

My wife (age 43) was diagnosed with SLE - Nephrotic syndrome class IV. I was on and off on Wysolene (5mg to 40 mg at times) and Immutil 360 (4 times a day)

However, in remission the doses have reduced.

Last 2-3 months my general physician stopped all my medicines since I was in complete remission.

Last month I am continously getting acidity and a slight stomach pain.

When pathological reports came in twice a week here we're the results -

1) WBC reduced from 3200 to 2700 in a span of 4 days

2) UPCR went from 4.37 to 4.30 (still a range)

3) 24 hours urinary protein came up to 3500+

She has too much of acidity and when slight stomach pain, followed by passing the Stools.

We are admitted in the hospital and she is taking Solumedrol 500mg as an injection through IV.

But I want help in acidity, burning sensation, after eating anything, passing the stools etc... Any suggestions, medicines will definitely would help?

Hi Sam9, I am an SLE patient, diagnosed in the early 80's. With regard to your meds, do you see a renal consultant? If you do then you must speak to them to get an opinion on medication, if not then you should ask for a referral immediately.

Thanks all for your replies

We are consulting a Nephrologist and physician since 2013. They prescribed Immutil 360 (Immunosuppressant medicine) along with Wysolene 40mg (Steroids).

My wife was pulled off her medicines last 2 months as she was in complete remission. Now it seems that the inflammation has triggered again.

Monday, April 8, creatinine was 1.16

Thursday, April 11, creatinine was 1.67

Monday, April 15, creatinine was 2.28.

She underwent a kidney biopsy and we are awaiting for the reports. Nephrologist says looks like elevated figures and based on the report he will decide the further line of treatment.

She has now been prescribed 60mg of Wysolene (steroids) orally.

I believe we are going on the right track and thought to share our further details over here.

Your experiences, similar cases like us definite will help.

Thanks !!!

Almost a week now and Nephrologist says to continue 60mg Wysolene steroids (Predisolene) for another 15 days.

My wife stomach, lower part of stomach aches a lot and kind of mild acities. She has also back pain now. Sonography reports are normal and indicated mild acities and she took 3 days antibiotic ( Ciplox TZ)

Are all these symptoms due to 60 mg intake?

Please share if you have experienced the same. Need help and guidance.

Thanks,

Sameer
