Rheumatology appointment success at last.

Appointment today finally got some results 😁😁 Told consultant I was happy being left to feel all alone to cope with this. Told her I couldn't get an appointment for love nor money since mid November, so I'd restarted mycophenelate mofetifil 1500 mg. She was saddened to hear I'd been suffering so badly. Told her I felt much better. Mouth ulcers all clear face rash all clear, fatigue reduced some. Still getting pain but hey a great improvement. Blood test and repeat prescription and steroid injection in base of 1 of my thumbs that's got ligament & tendon damage. Appointment for 2 months time 👍👍😀😀

Oh I know what you mean by facial pain Maggielee ouch! Been suffering for years long before diagnosed with lupus. I've had several jaw washes and mouth guards from dentist. Finally last wk told by maxilfolacial (sorry if spelt wrong) it's down to fibromyalgia and lupus. Fed up of sleepless nights and eating soft food.

Ohhh will google that symptom, saw rheumy today giving me a mri on face as gland blew up as well & referral for my face, not sure name of professional? Whiz by me... Is there anything they can do for your facial pain? Or is soft food forever? 😱 ml

Hi maggielee, ooh sounds agony! Apart from using an ibuprofen gel and pain killers been told there is no further help for the jaw pain 😒 Maxilo are limited what they can do they are reluctant to do too many jaw washes. Hope you get some luck and relief. Let me know how you get on 🤞🏻
