Ah it’s rubbish isn’t it Naz? My face is literally twice the size after nearly two years of steroids and 6 lots of IV recently. I’m trying to think of it positively in that we need these drugs and will get better from them but have to admit it’s shocking (and a little upsetting) looking in the mirror.

How long have you been on them? My face goes down pretty quickly when I get down to 10-15 and you will go back to normal but don’t rush as sometimes our bodies just need it to fight back into remission.

Hi ive been on steriods since september 2018 when i got diagnosed with Lupus (sle) started on 25mg now on 15mg i don’t recognise myself how are others suppose to its shocking the comments people make true they help with our health but shocking what they have done to us at least on here we have support & understanding sending you love & hugs xxx

I bet you’ll notice a big difference to your face soon if you’re slowly withdrawing.

Hugs to you too, it’s not nice at all 🙁 but the joy of lupus for many of us is that we can have very good times of remission too xx
