Hmmmm no surprises for either of us there then! 🤷🏼‍♀️🙄 x

"At present almost all independent analysis of future health care needs is done at the English level with little or no consideration of the different circumstances observed in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.” - exactly what my rheumy no.1 explained to us at a meeting and very much in keeping with Wendy’s recent posts and petition.

Let's let the news headline speak for itself TT, before we're accused of being party political ! We just have to come to terms with living in a one-party state with no right to reply 🤐😶😉 xxx

Yes. Devolution of the Welsh and Scottish NHS has done us no favours. When will they realise that’s it’s beyond repair as the system stands and help us out! xx

As someone who has lived in England and Scotland AND worked in both nhs systems, trust me when I say that Scotland is way ahead in patient care than England. English systems are no longer able to do the job... :((

It’s not the quality of care that’s being disputed here by the auditor at all. It’s about stealth cuts affecting people like us with rare diseases.

This morning on radio Scotland I heard a spokeswoman for this Audit Scotland’s report about the underfunding of the health service in Scotland. I heard the interviewer say that they would immediately hear from people saying how wonderful the service they had had was and saying it’s much better here than in England.

But she said that people should understand there are omissions that most people who say this will not be aware of - that undermine the service some people should be getting but aren’t.

I think she’s the person I’m inclined to trust from the perspective of my lived experience.

Well said Lou! No, I’ve never seen anyone post that they’ve travelled to Wales for better health care! 😆 But my MPs office tells me plenty are leaving Wales to live in England to get treatment not available to them on the NHS in Wales. It’s so wrong. x
