Morning hope everyone doing ok ive realised im putting on so much with steriods has anybody else got this problem my face is like round as a football was alwys self concious & its making me feel worse 😥😥😥any help ???

oh yes been there. it felt like I had half a grapefruit under the skin on each cheek, it went really hard and was pressing my nose so breathing became difficult. I also felt like I had grapefruits under the skin on the tops of my feet, couldn't wear shoes or socks for a month. It will go down when you stop the steroids. the hamster look won't last forever. don't worry about what other people might think most probably won't even notice and you need these pills to make you well. if you feel it's really bad go to your GP and maybe they can lower your dose. stay well

Thank you consultants just increased my steriods as i was still unwell xxx

Ohhh yes!! I defo do!

I feel very self conscious too I always feel like people are looking at me then it makes me feel worse and I get really anxious and sweaty!!

I’ve literally just reduced my steroids back down to 5mgs (after 3 months) my usual dose for the last 10yrs or so, and last 2 days started with joint pain and very stiff! My gp friend was like just put them back up again! I was like no! I fought to not increase 3 months ago!

People don’t get it, I just get an uncontrollable appetite for certain things like cereals but eat boxes snd boxes of them!

true ive got increased appetite despite feeling full 😫
