I had an appointment at the eye clinic yesterday, after taking ciclosporin for three months. My doctor reports that my corneas look much better than they did, with just a few stratches now, on my last visit they were discribe as ragged!
So the plan is to continue with ciclosporin and go back in three months.
I've found that it stings alot less if I put it in last thing as I'm going to sleep.
I also had one of my four punctal plugs replaced as it was missing.
Feeling quite pleased that my eyes are actually improving at last 👀

Mine are always fine just very dry. I have one set of plugs, use VitA pos ointment and Hyloforte and plod along. Very aware of how important it is to keep doing what I’m doing having attended a talk about dry eyes from an expert ophthamologist recently. X
That’s so good! Heaven knows how my eyes would be if I wasn’t using Hyloforte all through the day and Lacrilube/ Vit A pos in lavish quantities (neuropathy means I can’t feel how much I’m using but turns out that I’m using loads of ointment - and can still see fine no blurring - which baffles the eye doctor!). I’m really lucky in that I can tolerate lanolin because those with allergies to it really suffer I believe.
Alternatively I know Tilly posted here recently about using a human blood/ plasma derived drop the ophthamologist spoke highly of - and said that some of his patients even use pin prick drop of their own blood sometimes - which works brilliantly he told us. X
