Lots of people here had a long journey before getting a definitive diagnosis, and many are still waiting to discover one - many months or years is not unusual. As you know, one problem is that these auto-immune conditions present in all sorts of different ways and it is easy to confuse them with all sorts of other conditions. Have you seen the leaflet on symptoms and diagnosis? It may help you in your net GP consultation lupusuk.org.uk/wp-content/u...
My final diagnosis was very quick - just a couple of weeks, thanks to an amazingly observant GP - but in hindsight I realise that I had had Lupus for years bbefore that but because the symptoms all appeared separately nobody pieced the bits of the jigsaw together. Lupus is notoriously hard to diagnosis because it affects everybody differently & there are some many different symptoms. Hang on in there & good luck !
I was put on SPRAY doses of Vit D and B12 even before diagnosis which took a year. These vits really helped - rest when you can and as suggested read all you can on auto immune illness. Make a list of your symptoms and don’t worry that there are so many. It is the complexity of auto immune illness that baffles some (majority) of GPs. Good luck
