Constant Gastric problem in SLE

My mom was diagnosed with SLE in 2014. She has already been operated for colostomy in 2008 with complete rectum removed. She is currently on Omnacortil 10mg and MMF 2gm per day. Also taking pantop DSR/rantac OD for acidity control since last 8 months but that seems ineffective now. Also, I think prolonged use may cause more damage than any good. Does anyone have any suggestion or alternative path to follow? Pl advise. I just do not want her to continue taking this pantop DSR/rantac OD for long because eventually they will have some or the other side effect Thanks in advance Sam

I have GI problems, but they are dissimilar to your mother's. I'm not a medic, and really the best person the get advice from is a medic. I do hope you get some help.
