Hey everyone :)

i feel a bit bad about complaining but I think I need to vent.

So after recently seeing my specialist I had some higher liver function test results and specialist was unsure why as I was stopped on mycopheolate and stopped drinking Alchol when I was 18 (currently 20). Anyway he wants me to have a lot of tests including one for hepatitis and an ultra scan of my liver. They have been booked and will be happening soon, bloods all on the 19th and ultra scan on the 24th. Seeing specialist on the 28th. I admit I am a bit concerned as when I was first diagnosed they found a small scratch on my liver in an ultrasound, at the time nothing to worry about but I wonder if I could now have liver scarring

I am currently not feeling too great, stuffy head, my chest pain has returned, I have a cough which sometimes brings up flem, a occasionally sore/ tickley throat and with croaky voice. I do not have a temperature though, I checked with a thermometer. I talked to my mum and she says it may be because of stress (due to worry about my liver) and I should see how I feel later. I think I will take some medicine and go easy but if I feel any worse I may see a doctor.

Sorry this was so long! I hope you are all doing well X

Hi

The exact same thing has just happened to me. Called back into the hospital on Friday due to raised liver enzymes (227). I've stopped my Azathioprine and very rarely have alcohol.

Got Bloods taken again, like yourself Hep B/C, blood clotting (bruising easily) and some more I can't remember. Still waiting for the ultrasound date.

It's worrying but at least they are investigating.

Hope you feel better soon

I am sorry to hear about your raised one as well, 227 is quite high! Mine was only above 100.

Thank you for your kind words, I am sure I will, hopefully we can be sorted simply and nothing major is going on.

A virus or infection can cause raised liver enzymes but they can return to normal pretty quickly. Thats what happened to me a few years ago. I had to have scans and bloods but it eventually sorted itself out.

I hope it returns to normal for you soon.

Our gastro professor recommends good coffee to help the liver recover. Fits in with my lifestyle at least!. Good luck.

Woah coffee can help? Shame I hate the very smell of it and wouldn't be able to drink it or eat it Xx
