Had a call from the blood nurse, my liver enzyme is elevated. Been told to come off methetraxate and I’m scared my joints will start to be painful again. Being retested next week

Are you just on mtx? I had to come off it a few years ago and it wasn’t great. I think I was given steroids but that wasn’t great for blood sugar levels. Do you see gastroenterologist? Mine scan my liver regularly and do various other blood tests. I was given goahead for leflunomide about a year ago and it’s sude effects are easier than methotrexate. Still have regular ultrasound though.
