Hi all, not posted on here for a while. Aside from my skin lesions and fatigue my symptoms had been very mild which is great.
But the last week or so I seem to be seeing things that aren't there, I feel so paranoid. It's often something like seeing something moving out the corner of my eye and it's really playing on me.
My nerves are totally shot, I'm so jumpy and shaky which is making daily life more difficult than usual.
Has anyone else experienced this? What did you find helped (if anything)?

I get like that with my depression. When my insomnia is terrible my exhaustion takes a whole new form. The slightest of sounds will startle me, all my senses are heightened. So much so sometimes I see things, like out of the corner of my eye or at night. I do my best to try and relax and meditate when I can and try to get extra sleep (despite not being able to sleep) I am not formally diagnosed with lupus ... but am with depression. Hope things settle for you ... it can be the worst feeling.
Hello Athens94, I get this when I am overtired or having a flare, its like something is moving
out of the corner of my eye, or I think someone is standing in the room. My mother was a medium, so it doesn't worry me too much, I just think someone is telling me to look after myself. You probably think I am completely mad now. This usually goes when I start to feel better. Hope you improve soon, or you will have to visit your GP. Best wishes
I'm not diagnosed but I get these just before a flare. I will see people out of the corner of my eye when there's no one there, or smell something no one else can smell. I even hear things, like the doorbell or people talking when the house is empty. It tells me that I'm in for a rough few days. It doesn't really bother me too much as I know It's my mind playing tricks x
Its funny you should say that, I often think I can hear a radio on, very low, and I smell cigarette smoke although nobody smokes in the house. My mind is playing tricks too
I wouldn't mind so much if it was a person but I keep thinking I see spiders running across my floor and they're my biggest fear so my nerves are totally shot.
Now that you mention it there has been a couple of occasions where I've smelt something and no one else seems to be able to smell it, never thought anything of that before.
I'll see how the next few days go, fingers crossed it's just a one off x
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I see people I know, like my daughter walking past me when she's upstairs for example. My worst event is an overwhelming smell of burning. It drags me down and I can't think or sleep because of it. Thankfully it doesn't happen often
Yeah I've also got dry eyes, although a day or so after I posted this I got very ill with a major urine infection and it doesn't seem to have happened since. Very strange!
Hey, I’m not diagnosed yet but on Hydroxychloroquine, I used to get this before and put it down to stress, but it’s got worse since starting the Meds and I will have to mention it at my next appointment, seems to be mainly in the corner of left eye, like someone is walking past?!
