My ct scan shows normal kidney but I still have blood in my urine so I am wondering if I could still have problem with my kidneys regardless what the ct scan shows?

Blood doesn't only get into urine from the kidney - it is a complicated thing. Be patient.

Good to hear you've had a clear kidney scan. x

I've had trace blood +2 for a few years - and had it throughout my three pregnancies too. In my case I suspect it goes with hypertension and a very large irregular but benign kidney cyst.

It has gone away over the last few months and this could be due to the fact that I've lost a stone and my BP has normalised. I am on 3g Mycophenolate so it's possible that I had early stage kidney involvement but my CT last year did not find anything untoward. A rheumatologist I saw today said a clear CT is pretty much definitive so I wouldn't worry about trace blood in your pee.

Blood in the urine may just indicate a urine infection and not necessarily be anything to do with the kidney. Or from trauma?

Blood in your urine without a infection should be checked out,or it could be kidney stones ,I had blood in mine not visable, with no infection and was sent to urology but appointment was 3 months down the line but in the mean time i had a blocked kidney stone in the polis and had to have a stent put in.but if you are over 65 with blood in your urine no infection you should be fast tracked with In a fortnight, once again my hospital didn't do this and complained to pals but as we all know they all stick together so you get fobbed off .
