Who would you recommend to help diagnose in London or England

Hi. Can anyone help me find a doctor who can help diagnose me. I only have the money for one private appointment. So I need to be very careful to get this right. I'm quite sure I have Lupus. But I desperately need to know as I'm constantly ill. I'm trying to speed things up as I've hit a wall with NHS. I'm hoping that I can use this to help prove what's happening to me. I live in Nottingham. I will travel if I have to. But travel makes me very ill. Many thanks.

I can honestly say Dr John Lanham at London Bridge Hospital has to be the best Dr I have seen.

Hi love

When I got to a stuck place with my Gp and the hospital. It was difficult but I kept on to the hospital to give me a referral to the London hospital. After some time they did. I went there for a second opinion. So you may like to go back to hospital and ask for a second opinion. Hope this helps.

Very true, I have had a second opinion at a different NHS hospital without having to go private. The consult, tests and review would have been £1000 and a 2 month wait to see the doctor of my choice. I managed to see the same doctor on the NHS within 10 days because there was a cancellation. And it's thrown up something new without me having to pay for it and I really couldn't afford it to be honest!

Thanks for this. I asked this but I was told there was no funding to cover it and even if there was, the request would have to go to panel to be considered .

So lots and lots of gatekeepers where I live.

Hi. I'm going to keep trying. I'm so much more positive today. I took the recommendation of ear plugs from this forum and for the first time in 16 weeks my ear pain has been greatly reduced. I know it's small, but to have succeeded in anything to relieve the pain has really cheered me up! It shows that with self care and the right knowledge, I can maybe beat this thing.

Next stop Magnesium Oil !

I will keep asking and try to see someone who can help me.

Thanks for your support.
