I've written so many posts but I don't know where they go.
HelloEveryone,
I'd mostly like to know how a Rheumatologist goes about diagnosing Lupus. I've been told that there is no one definitive test for Lupus.
Thanks Much!!

Hello AmyCV,
Welcome at last! You will find the LupusUK leaflets here lupusuk.org.uk/publications/
One of them is about diagnosis, so that should be a good start. Keep in touch. x
Can't help with the lupus question but here is a bit of practical help:
At the top of the page you will see a bar with HealthUnlocked in green, next to it is an avatar and your username with a box with a downward pointing arrow next to it. Click on the arrow and a menu box drops down. Click on Profile - that takes you to your profile page. Just below your name you will see Posts, Replies, Followers, Following - click on Posts and it will show you your 3 posts, click on Replies and a list of all the replies you have written will appear.
Thanks! I am beginning to figure it all out. My brains and eyes just won't do what I want them to do anymore.
One other quick question. Is there a way to set your profile picture, or do you have to add a picture every time you write a new message?
Hello! I had never heard of a Rheumatologist until my diagnosis. A Rheumatologist is a medical specialist you specialize in everything in relation to the immune system. To make it shot, it's when your red blood cells and white blood cell don't recognize each other, start, start to fight, there's a decrease in one of the cell count, then you need a medicine to fix That's or a blood transfusion That's. You might start to get sick or something that's the first sign that it's active. Think doctor knows about all of that. Long explanation and a complex disease.
God bless you. He's in control.
I had several blood tests taken on my first visit to the rheumatoloy dep in 2005, went back 2 weeks later to be told I had mild lupus. Something to do with the ANA count in my blood said the tests were positive. I've gone back for reviews ever since and now I'm down to once a year for blood and urine tests. Hope that helps, not a lot of information but thats how it was diagnosed for me
My GP already tested my ANA and it's positive. I have had almost consistently low white blood cell count for many years.
Thanks everyone!!
