Newly diagnosed with sle lupus

I live in Eadt Yorkshire and was wondering if there's any lupus groups locally to the Hull area. I've got so many questions that I'd love to have the answers to and feel so alone with everything at the moment. Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

Keep well everyone xx

Hi. I live in Driffield and have looked but can't find anywhere locally looking at the newsletters I get with contacts.Perhaps we could meet up to chat,to see how it effects us and how it feels although I don't know the answers, just talking to someone else who knows what it's like and to have some support would be nice.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I live in Gilberdyke which is near Goole so quite a way from Driffield. But maybe we could for now, just post on hear from time to time, that would be great.

See what you think and let me know.

Keep well. xx

Hi Jean52 ,

I'm afraid I'm not aware of any support groups that meet in the Hull area, but I do know of meetings in Doncaster and Sheffield. I will send you a private message with more information about these groups.

As you are newly diagnosed, if you need more information about lupus, we have a free pack which you can request or download from our website at lupusuk.org.uk/request-info...

We also have our full range of publications free to read and/or download at lupusuk.org.uk/publications/

Hi Paul. Thanks for your reply. I have got the free pack you mentioned also the free publications that you do, I've found them very interesting.

It's great that you have this online forum, some of the posts have been very helpful, and some very worrying, none of us know really how are condition is going to affect us, and what our futures hold, all we can do is try to stay positive and live each day as it comes, making the most of the good days.

Many thanks once again.

Kind regards

Jean
