I'm sure I've read about this on here before but can't remember what was said.
I've just purchased the Phillips Lumea IPL hair removal system but have read in the Do's and Dont's that it's not recommended for people with Lupus or are photosensitive. Has anyone tried this or had any experience with one?

Given it works on shining light into your skin I wouldn't have thought many people with lupus would use it. And you are also probably immunosuppressed which is also a contraindication.
Actually - having read the blurb, I'd say there are probably more people who can't/shouldn't use it than who can since even a suntan (natural or not) means it is a no-no!
I had my first time with it and so far good but I am also looking for information. I am not light sensitive. My lupus is activated by stress. I am in remission at the moment but if I am not then light sensitivity will be something I need to be careful about.
Anyway, I will share more info in future. Please keep me posted about it too. Thanks for bringing this up.
