Rach459,

I have not had any fillers but sure would like to. I would like to get Botox too. I have read that fillers are not recommended because it is more intrusive and could start flare. Botox is apparently OK 😊 But I am to chicken to take the chance. What if it turned out to be a real bad decision just to get rid of a few wrinkles 😳.

I am interested to see any responses you get though.

Thanks for the reply Chapter,Yes ive been told by my rheumatologist that botox is fine as they have used it in peoples hands! Ive seen mixed responses on the internet about fillers though. Will have to wait and see my consultant. Was hoping someone may of had it without any problems xxx

botox is so easy, don't be scared of the pain...takes about 30 seconds and they barely prick the face and you can count to 20 and it is over...great for crowsfeet, 11 lines between eyes and forehead wrinkles..so far that was the best for me. I tried perlane fillers around the mouth and my face was swollen and I couldn't leave the house for almost 2 week....it really scared me...I didn't know about the swelling for days and I had place a ice egg on face for days and use anti bruising cream...I had plans to go somewhere the end of the week so don't get it if you are going somewhere immediately after.......it wore off in a few months and I just don't think it was worth the price.....botox on the other hand if done by a great dr is worth the price....in my opinion...Many drs or PA's give you very little and it will wear off in 2-3 months and others will give you more and it last a good 6 months ..it all depends in the experienced hand giving it to you....whether dr or pa but I would advise let a dr do it

Recent news article in the USA and a participant on the Dr. Oz show also, about botox that went very wrong. Woman, once attractive, looks awful.

With the fillers, you may bruise. I did lip injections and bruised pretty badly. They looked good though. But, boy is that injection painful!! Botox was no big deal.

I wouldn't go there. You already have an auto-immunity why tempt fate?

Not what you're looking for?
