Speckled pattern
A speckled or homogenous pattern may indicate systemic lupus erythematosus, which is the most common condition associated with a positive ANA test.

Hi Mebros,
According to an article published by AFP, a speckled pattern is commonly linked with systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren’s syndrome, polymyositis/dermatomyositis and sclerderma. A patient who has a ratio of 1:280 demonstrates a strongly positive antinuclear antibody (ANA).
A positive ANA test allows a patient to be further tested for the presence of ENA and dsDNA antibodies; enabling the healthcare professional to create a more specific diagnosis.
