My consultant has has tried different meds over the last 2years, I feel he has them just right at the moment, I have never felt better. I have started to lose some weight now as I'm able to walk for longer and more active . Keep smiling everyone x

Methotrexate injections 12.5mg once a week. Hydroxychloroquine 200mg twice aday. Folic acid 5mg three time a week. Also take blood pressure tab as lupus caused high B/P felodipine 5mg am Losartan 100mg at night. Omeprazole 20mg in morning . And my inhalers for lungs with montelukast at night. I don't seem to need inhalers so much now as lupus seems to be stable, not sure I even had asthma since being on lupus meds lungs have improved. I have lost 1st 9.5lbs in 6 weeks with the help of slimming world and no steroids for a while Lol

Delighted to hear your good news,what a treat ! I have just commenced methotrexate and folic acid,so I hope I will eventually come off steroids for the first time in 3 years.gained a stone in weight.now 12st 8 lbs.I also have COPD.i used to play golf 3 times a week,can only manage 13 holes now !!! Trying hard to lose weight.x
