Patrica made a post about smooth shinney feet. I have the opposite with my feet. Years of having to go barefoot, I have rough, tough, & stained feet. All because of lupus!
You have what my mom used to call "summertime feet"! I know that they are really your "all year round feet". My mom grew up on a farm in southern Texas near the Gulf. Maybe that was why she understood when I wanted to run around barefoot all summer as a child and teenager.
I'm sure that your bare feet are taking you around just fine in your garden and on your fishing boat.
And ... one more observation ... you keep your feet mighty clean!!! That's not always easy to do when barefooted!
I am from the south also and I have heard that tearm used also, been a long time but, I remembered it. Do you still live in Texas?
Yes the bottom of my feet are extremely tough now. This photo was taken early in the morning. It doesn't take but just a few minutes and the bottom of my feet are dirty. Most of the time they are black. I scrub them every night, and use a cheese grater 2 to 3 times a week to keep the cracking down and keep the skin from getting thick in one are. I keep it even as I can. Believe it or not there is a lot of things I do to keep feet in good shape.
My pet peeve is badly unkept Barefeet. I have to go barefoot in public so, I want them to look nice and neat as possible. Laura keeps my nails clean & trimmed neatly.
Yes now I LOVE GOING BAREFOOT! Now I wouldn't wear shoes if I could!
Again thanks for your thoughts and prayers for my family!
