Hello: Hi just joined. I'm 46 and have had lupus... - LUPUS UK
Hello
Hello Sandyb1 I have Lupus / Sjögren's syndrome and under active thyroid among other things unfortunately it effects everything eventutally. It's hard and gets very depressing trying to deal with everything and normal day to day life when all I want to do is stay in bed all day I've gone from an active life to a life of hospital appt doctors appt and pills for this and that but I'm trying to stay positive and get on with things nothing else for it.
Hi sandyb
Welcome to the forum, hope you'll find it helpful. Sorry to read of your problems and just wanted to say if you've had the persistent cough for more than three weeks then it should be checked by your GP. The NHS has been running a campaign about it recently. The cough could be caused by a number of things like lung inflammation or be a digestive problem as you can get a dry cough if you have a hiatus hernia or have oesophagus problems needing a drug like Losec . All things your GP can ask you about. Is your lupus being treated?.,whatever treatment your on could be causing it or maybe your thyroid treatment is. Anyway, hope some helpful thoughts and hope it goes soon. X
Hi misty 14
Thank you for your advice. I'm actually in clinic today so will ask. I've had the nose and throat job but nothing was found. I keep getting it and have been to my gp before and have tablets to take.xx
Thanks xx
