Hi, all my lupie family, my beautiful step daughter gave birth to a gorgeous 6lb 7oz baby boy on Thursday night. We have had a very busy few days and my lupus has tried to make an appearance but fortunately I have fought him off. I know that I will probably suffer in the long run but cuddling my beautiful new grandson it will be worth it.
I hope you are all ok and as symptom free as possible. Xxxx

Being a Grandma is the best thing in the world. Congratulations. When my joints ache and the fatigue is taking over I can still climb into the Minions tent with my 3-year-old grandson and play monsters or have a picnic. The magic of a grandchild can make this creaky old 62-year-old body do roly poleys on the floor and 'hop and gallop' up and down supermarket aisles. There may not be a cure for autoimmune diseases but there sure as hell are some effective medicines out there!!!! I usually suffer for my antics later but it's worth it. My other daughter doubled my joy 6 months ago by giving my my second grandson. Life is good. I hope you enjoy every minute of being a Grandma x
