Fat wasting

Does anyone else experience lipoatrophy? My body is losing so much fat and I look and feel emaciated. Has anyone had this happen?

I was diagnosed with this aged 5 although for me things have improved slightly although I never put weight on easily.

Have you spoken to your GP or consultant about this? Are you currently taking any medications for your lupus?

Hi I had fat wasting. Lupus profundus was diagnosed by the dermatologists through a biopsy. Also sle. I'm on medicines to treat the lupus. Perhaps seek advice from a dermatologist? Good luck

I don't know if it's the same but I have lost 3 and a bit stone and I am now skin and bones, hate seeing myself in the mirror as I look awful 😞

If you have SLE, it wouldn't hurt to get pancreatic/liver digestive enzyme production tested. Also make sure you're not having a flare? Whatever it is, you really need to see your specialist. Weight loss for no reason needs proper explanation and treatment.
