Following up from my post "when its not Lupus or associated"

Just got back from orthopedic appt. and told can't do surgery for rotator cuff and. Bicep slap tear (thanks physiotherapist for that!) as Crps has now set in good and proper and as barnclown said surgery and crps are a definite no no. So referred to another specialist to see about possible nerve block ? Anybody had this? Plus physio etc but will be about 12 months before any real improvement according to consultant today and warning some permanent damage to be expected.Oh yipee ,great just what I needed.

Well at least the sun has just gone behind the clouds so will be happy about that 8 )

Keep on smiling folks x

I tore my rotator cuff my physio told me no one would operate but she said she could build up my surrounding muscles and tendons to take over the rotator cuff I also had acupuncture for the pain, this was 4 years ago, the pain at first was excruciating and my arm was useless but with perseverance and a lot of time it gradually started to improve. It will never be as it was and doesn't have a lot of strength but the pain only flares when I have over done it. One of the best things I have done, inadvertently, to help it was to pick up a camera a light one at first as that was all I could lift, I upgraded to a slightly heavier one and last year got a DSLR with light lenses this year I have got my first heavier lens although compared with some it's still a light weight. Most of the weight goes on my good arm but it takes two arms to operate a camera properly. Keep up with the physio and give acupuncture a try to help with the pain

Thanks for the update....I think you're seeing this v clearly & I like the way you're thinking. Tracynoe's reply is a really good one, to which I can't add...but I do want to wish you all the best with this: you can improve things, and will do so...especially if you go at this slowly but surely.....doing that 1 step @ a time thing...and celebrating each stage of improvement: remember to pat yourself on the back (gently) at regular intervals❗️❗️❗️❗️

Hope you'll keep us updated
