Itching and rashes after sunset!

Its been two weeks I am dealing with this problem and the only thing that temporarily helps is the Benedryl.

Please share your remedies if u have any.

Hi! Is it the sunlight causing the rashes? If it is I use 50+ sunscreen all over, wear clothing from a company called coolibar and use umbrellas to shade me at all times if I have to go out. I also use anti histamine for the itching called citirizine. Cool baths help reduce the heat of my rashes and I dont use soaps which will aggrivate them. Hope this helps

Hi,

I too suffer with itchy skin. What my doctor told me to do was to wash with Aqueous Cream no soap or shower gels. Then to moisturize with Balneum Cream then I follow with a steroid cream called Betnovate Cream.

The balneum and Betnovate Cream I get on prescription, but the aqueous cream you can buy in Tesco.

But use the creams at least twice a day, this then builds up a resistance. I'm worse when I shower, so I use the balneum and Betnovate twice a day even when I'm not showering, and that helps for when I do shower. The itchiness is a lot less to what it would be without me using them.

I hope this helps. But also try antihistamines too they can help just as good, I also take these after showering too.

I am effected by sun bruise quite bad but have itchy legs below the knee even though I have been wearing trousers
