Bursitis/ Sciatica

My hip is feeling much better today, more concentrated in one area, still sharp stabbing pain but at least I know where it wil be now. I keep telling my husband I will be better tomorrow then you better watch out.

As your pain is now in one area , is it on the side of your thigh?., sounds just like bursitis , if you can put your finger on where it is, the injection can zap the spot and be very effective as it has for me!.

Yes misty, it is right on bursa - side of hip, right where it started. I can put my finger on it. Better than whole right side in agony, but still a bit of an issue. I can walk and move leg around, but can not sit comfortably for more than 5 minutes. Last night was a lot of hunting for good position.

So, I will go see GP this week and if it is still issue maybe she will give me a shot. You have been very helpful Misty, appreciate your help.

It was my GP who gave me the steroid injection so well worth you asking this week. I'm still pain free which is wonderful so no reason why you couldn't be too!. Good luck and let us know how you get on.X

I went through this for 3yrs numerous tests but my lumbar spine has herniated discs bone spurs etc crumbling basically and due to this pain consultant decided to inject my left si joint with steroids to see if I got any relief. It worked albeit for only 2 weeks but that was good enough proof to him I have sacroiliac joint disorder . Unfortunately its now gone into my right side now so I am getting radio frequency on both sides in 3 weeks. Worth looking in to

Oh, that does not sound like fun, sounds like a lot of pain. Hope the treatment is effective for you, is it suppose to fix or just help?
