When I use eye drops I can taste the drops in my mouth. Is there a connection between my eye socket and my sinuses?

The tear ducts are connected somehow to the throat, I don't know the biology of it but if you cry a lot you may be able to taste a salty taste.

The eye drops can run down the back of the throat too.

Also if your eye drops run down your throat they can sometimes cause an upset stomach, depending on whats in them.

It is normal but if it bothers yo talk to the doctor or pharmacist.

I pinch top of my nose after using drops to reduce this after taste stuff and try and keep my head straight. X

I experienced this after eye surgery. I asked for the antibiotic ointment in the end because the taste was vile and I was starting to get a nice sore throat. The ointment stays in better but will blur your vision for a while.
