Can I ask where they are based now. Mine is based at the Freeman Hospital, Dr Griffiths and I find her very good. I'm quite new to all this but she listens.

I'm afraid I have only met Dr Griffiths and the nurse specialist at the Freeman. I have not met any other doctor. I did go to one at Hexham once, who at the time felt I was ill, but it was not something she could help with. I don't have a malar rash and my bloods are only just over but I have fatigue, joint and muscle aches. Brain fog on and off and general feeling weakness, especially going up stairs. Obviously, as with the nature of this disease its not constant and some days I'm ok but generally one or more symptoms occur at some point. I've also been assessed by Dr Price, immunologist at the RVI, re CFS/ME. He referred me to Dr Griffiths because my CK remained elevated for further assessment and I'm still going nearly 2 years later. She has initiated prednisolone injections then started me on hydroxy and recently another IM injection followed my methotrexate. I really rate them at the Freeman.

Hi debbi can I just ask which department you are seen at in sunderland?I see Dr Raftery in ruematology and seems to have everything I need and theres also a specialised lupus clinic on usualy on a friday. It might be worth asking for a referral. Hope this helps.
