I wonder if anyone can advise me if suffering from controlling bladder and requires urgent trip to Toilet?
I don't know about medications, have you seen your Gp ?physiotherapist can help with exercises for this
Yes my mum takes something and it works. I will give her a ring and come back to you with the meds name and if mum experiences any side effects.
Tried mum she's up with the lark and out, so will come back to you this evening. Ha ha there's my mum at 79 already out and about and myself at 49 still trying to come to, Lupus for you!
I get bladder incontenance WHEN i get too tired/stress/flair up.
Drs have done nothing..not about my Lupus or Fibromyalgia. Never taken anything more than cocodine for pain.
Does your bladder get anxious just looking at the porcelain? Mine did. Had infection after infection, one Dr at Gp practise sent me to see Urology. Had appt to go have inspection. CT scan clear, urethra tube clear. Since had antibiotics to take at onset of problems. Got problems far too often. Now on 6 mths antibiotics daily, low dose = much better. Can actually manage to wait over an hour before going now! That's a BIG difference.
Many thanks for your feedback. I have been asked to take ultrasound of my bladder and kidney. Done that, but waiting to see the uriologist in April. I was reading some articles that suggest if i takke a tablet called Saw Palmetto Prostazan . I am going to try this before I see the Urologist.

Hi, have you been diagnosed with Fibro as well as Lupus? I know lots of people have both which is why I ask. Irritable bladder/urge incontinence is really common with Fibro as it affects the autonomic nervous system so your body is always readied for fight/flight which includes ditching any waste which could hold it back. IBS symptoms are also common. This is how is was described to me anyway, it's simply over activity of the bladder, contracting too often/too soon. There are lots of drugs that can treat it, they basically relax the bladder so it isn't going into spasm so readily. The other thing that is sometimes done is a stretch, where your bladder is filled with water to stretch it's capacity to get it used to holding more liquid again, when it's been in an irritable state for a while. I had it so bad I had to wear Tena pants aged 30, but I went to see a urologist who ran a few painless tests, prescribed one tablet a day, and it's completely gone now, and it has made such a difference to the quality of my life. I was prescribed 25mg Mirabegron xxx
Many thanks for the feedback. I will surely mention this medicine to my GP ot the urologist when i am supposed to see him in April. I have not been diagnosed Fibro or lupus. My problem is enlarged prostate. Whether this is the cause of the current trouble I suppose it is , but they have not fully confirmed yet. Thanks again for the advice
